Andrew Yamashiro
Varsity Head Coach

Andrew is starting his first season with the Lady Pride Volleyball Program as the Varsity Coach. He spent the previous three seasons as the Varsity Assistant Coach.

Andrew was a four year Varsity player for Hamilton High School and then played on ASU's Men's Club Team from 2010-2011. Andrew coaches boys at Higley High School and both girls and boys at a local volleyball club. 

Andrew was named to the top 30 Coaches under 30 list in 2019. A national list of High School, Club and Collegiate Coaches.

Scott Schutkowski
Junior varsity head coach

Coach Schutkowski is starting his second year with the Pride coaching staff as the JV coach. He has coached varsity volleyball at Centennial Middle School for 17 years; many of his players have gone on to excel in the Mountain Pointe program.  He has also been an assistant coach for Aspire Volleyball club for the last eight years. Five of those teams qualified for girls’ volleyball nationals (GJNC) 

Coach Schutkowski has twin daughters who are ASU graduates and just begun their careers, Scott and his wife Nicole have a daughter, Sylvia. They all enjoy family time, concerts, and traveling.

He is excited for the JV team to compete this year, and to help grow players for the Mountain Pointe program.

Andrea Fazz
Freshman Head Coach

Coach Fazz is excited to coach her 17th season for the Mountain Pointe High School Freshman Volleyball program.  

Coach Fazz is from Yuma, Arizona where she played four years of volleyball at Cibola High School and later returned to her Alma Mater to coach the freshmen volleyball team for two years.  Coach Fazz graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education.  While attending NAU, she kept her skills honed by participating in intramural leagues.  In August 2006, she received her Master's Degree in Administration & Supervision from the University of Phoenix.  

Coach Fazz and her husband, Herman, have one son, Aedan and a daughter, Alexa.  Coach Fazz truly enjoys playing volleyball, but most of all loves coaching and teaching the sports fundamentals to up and coming players.  She believers in hard work, dedication and determination to be a winner and is looking forward to working with another talented group of young lades this season.
